The Brandon Inn has been a place of hospitality since 1786. For your event you can use our Ballroom, Dining Room & Gallery, Garden Room & Patio — or combine spaces — with food and drink from our kitchen and Jacob Simonds Bar, plus rooms upstairs for your guests.

We don’t publish a live availability calendar online (it was more confusing than helpful). Tell us what you’re dreaming of — we’ll check the date and follow up personally.

Our event spaces

Use one room for something intimate, or more of the ground floor as your guest list grows. Rough guide: about one room up to ~75 guests; two rooms above that; the whole floor for larger celebrations (~120+).

Outdoor ceremonies

Say your vows outside — gazebo and lawn options when the Vermont weather cooperates — then move indoors for dinner and dancing.

The Ballroom

Our grandest room — high ceilings, soft light, and space to linger. Ideal for a wedding reception, a lively dance floor, or a seated dinner that still feels intimate. About 37′ × 34′.

Two connected rooms that flow as one — candlelit dinners, cocktail hours, and buffet celebrations with room to mingle. Warm wood, historic charm, and about 2,000 sq ft of gathering space.

Garden Room & Patio

Sunlit and serene — an indoor garden room (23′ × 30′) that opens to the patio. Perfect for vows, champagne toasts, or a smaller celebration that wants a foot in the Vermont outdoors.

Every celebration is a little different — time of day, season, and how you use the rooms. We’ll shape a written estimate for your date (that’s the one that binds). Catering, bar, music, photography, A/V, and décor are arranged separately as you need them.

When we cater — and when you bring food

Most hosts are happiest when the Inn handles the food. One kitchen, one team, one estimate — and you don’t have to chase rentals or wash dishes at midnight.

If we cater your event, the per-person food price already covers linens, china, flatware, glassware, dishwashing, setup, breakdown, and leaving the room clean. For gatherings under about 40 people, we also include tables and chairs from the dining room we keep set for the restaurant. For larger weddings and receptions, ask about our wedding and reception bundles: those published package rates fold furniture and service into the per-person price, and they’re usually a better value than building the same day piece by piece.

Smaller or simpler celebrations — a shower, a meeting, a casual party — don’t need the full wedding package. We typically quote the room rental plus the food you choose, and we scale setup to what you actually need. Tell us how formal you want it, and the written estimate will match.

If you bring your own food or hire an outside caterer, the venue rental is for the room only. Tables, chairs, linens, place settings, dishwashing, kitchen access (warming and staging only — not full prep), cleanup, and any outside-caterer fee are billed separately on the estimate. Outside alcohol isn’t allowed under our license.

We recommend Inn catering whenever it fits your budget; it’s the simplest path, and the estimate we send is the one that binds.

Stay the weekend

Because we’re an inn first, your guests can sleep under the same roof. Block rooms for the wedding party, keep everything walkable, and enjoy Brandon’s shops and green the next morning.

Breakfast is part of the inn experience for overnight guests — and downtown Brandon is right outside.
